8 Grant Opportunities to Help Nonprofits Support their Communities Through the California Fires
As fires continue to impact our state, we would like to share some information that may be helpful to nonprofits operating in affected areas during this difficult time.
Below are 8 grants that nonprofits can apply for—from funding for providing immediate relief (e.g. food, shelter) to planning for long-term recovery—to support themselves and their communities.
CA Emergency Watershed Protection Program (EWP) Grants: The EWP Program offers technical and financial assistance to help local communities relieve imminent threats to life and property caused by floods, fires, windstorms and other natural disasters that impair a watershed. EWP does not require a disaster declaration by federal or state government officials for program assistance to begin.

Listos California Community Disaster Aid (LD) Program RFP: The purpose of the Listos California Community Disaster Aid (LD) Program is to reimburse community-based organizations (CBOs) throughout the State for work performed in the direct aid of individuals and families impacted by a disaster during response and recovery efforts.
Listos California Youth Developmental Grant (LY) Program RFP: The purpose of the Listos California Youth Developmental Grant (LY) Program is to support new and existing projects developing or enhancing youth programs that introduce and educate about emergency preparedness.
Listos California Statewide Grant (LS) Program RFP: The purpose of the Listos California Statewide Grant (LS) Program is to support organizations throughout California that serve multiple counties with equity priority factors located in areas at moderate to high risk of disaster.
Listos California Target Grant (LG) Program RFP: The purpose of the Listos California Target Grant (LG) Program is to support organizations throughout California that serve smaller communities with equity priority factors located in areas at moderate to high risk of disaster.
Listos California Cert Support Grant (LC) Program RFP: The purpose of the Listos California CERT Support Grant (LC) Program is to provide funding to new and existing CERT programs to support projects that help prepare vulnerable and underserved populations.
