Meet our Summer Interns!

Oasis is so fortunate and truly grateful to have been chosen by another amazing group of summer interns!

Where would you most like to live?  

It would be a dream to live in a villa in Italy, preferably near a vineyard. However, in reality I'd like to be able to purchase a home in Southern California and live near Disneyland or the beach.

Which living person do you most admire?  

I most admire Mia Mingus, a community organizer for disability justice and transformative justice.

What is your greatest regret? 

Accidentally missing New Order's set at a festival I went to in Spain when I was 18. I'm forever heartbroken.

What have you most enjoyed about working at Oasis? 

The small workshops/activities that we have after our staff meetings. I had a great time during trivia and our remote cooking class making potato puffs.

What is your dream occupation?  

My dream job is to be a podcast-creating-marine-biologist-attorney-food-critic!  

Tiffany Garcia, Oakland-raised, first-generation student at UC Riverside majoring in Psychology and Gender & Sexuality Studies 

What or who is the greatest love of your life? 

I think the greatest love of my life is my family. I am very family-oriented and attribute all of my success to the support they have always given me.

What do you most like about working at Oasis?  

Even though we are working remotely, Oasis has found fun ways of fostering a sense of community and I have felt really supported in my work.

What is your favorite quality in a person? 

Empathy. Empathy is super important and I believe that the world would be a better place if people were generally more empathetic as a whole.
