Join Oasis Legal Services for a free training for mental health professionals! This training is intended for mental health providers interested in providing mental health evaluation reports for LGBTQ+ asylum seekers. The event will provide an introduction to asylum law as well as a review of why mental health evaluation reports are needed in LGBTQ+ asylum cases. Presenters
Diana Shapiro
Diana is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in private practice. Beginning November 2011, she has worked extensively and primarily with LGBTQ+ Mexican and Central American populations, conducting psychological evaluations for immigration purposes.

Maria Elena Paniagua
Maria Elena is a Department of Justice Accredited Representative and Oasis' Asylum Program Director. Maria Elena has over 18 years of experience working with LGBTQ+ asylum seekers and has assisted hundreds of LGBTQ+ immigrants in their asylum cases.
